The 2nd KL Klasik Invitational Friendly Swim Meet 2025 was held at the National Aquatic Centre, Bukit Jalil on 11-13 July. The aim of the invitational friendly Meet is to foster good relations between swimming clubs in Malaysia, especially around Klang valley. KL Klasik provides an additional and suitable platform to encourage new learners to be involved in swimming competitions, getting themselves accustomed to World Aquatics swimming rules and to identify potential achievers from the grassroot levels in the country.
DSA Swimming Clubs participated in this Meet with a large team of 175 comprising of both Novice swimmers and State swimmers who achieved some spectacular results. At the end of the 2-day Meet, DSA had won a total of 88 medals which included 30 Golds and also established 5 new Meet Records.
Analey Yap Cai Li created 2 Meet Records in the 100 Metres Freestyle and Backstroke events in Group 2. Kana Iwasaki from Group 4 also won 2 Gold medals and a Meet Record in 100 Metres Backstroke while Harrison Cannon also from Group 4 won a Gold. Theadora Raeesa Joseph from Group 3 was the other Gold medal winner while Ian Tan Zhi Kai, Lee Chi Ning and Lee Kenyi were the podium finishers in the Meet.
In the Novice Swimmers category, Gerald Ho from Group 4 Boys was a picture of brilliance with his astounding win of 9 Golds in his events and is truly an upcoming swim champ. Marisa Lim Yi Ting from Group 1 Girls was the other superstar with 5 Golds in her events while Kynan Lim Shi Hao from Group 2 won 3 Golds for the team. Kylie Lim Shi Xian, Azhaad Mahadzir, Lai In Xuan, Quah Huan Tian, Sarah Kwong Xin and Jada Choong Zhi Qing were the other swimmers who struck Gold taking home a medal each.
Hor Xinni, Hannah Kwong Rou, Jong Qing Fung, Kristen Leong, Kairav Majmudar, Shahista Karleesha Shahmi Saifuddin, Clarisse Lim Li En, Dylan Ngoi Win Yit, Thon Kok Jun, Kaylee Leong Zhi Ching, Yam Ee Ren, Violet Tang Zi Qian, Shanie Yeok Lin, Zhu YinLai and Aleeya Rose Norazri were the other swimmers who all had a great weekend with a podium finish at the Meet.
DSA Swimming Clubs also gained 8 Golds in the Relay events with 2 new Meet Records in the Group 4 Boys 50 Meter and 100 Meter Medley Relays with the quarter consisting of Gerald Ho, Yam Ee Ren, Thon Kok Jun and Oliver Ewan Reed doing the honours.
