ASUM/NSC/MILO JUNIOR SPLASH SWIM 2019

DSA Swim Team runners up with 8 Meet Records at Junior Splash Meet

National Aquatic Centre, Bukit Jalil was the place to be as DSA Swimming Club took over the first leg of the ASUM/NSC/MILO Junior Splash Swim Meet 2019 with the biggest contingent at the Meet, biggest ever by DSA. 329 young  junior swimmers, a majority of them first-timers had their baptism of competitive swimming with FINA standards at the Meet held at Bukit Jalil from 19-21 July.

It was a very special weekend for DSA Swim Club as the entire stadium was witness to the young DSA swimmers graduate from the squad level swimming to actual competitive swimming of high standards. It was heartening and emotional for the DSA coaches watching their young wards who they nurtured over the years rising up to the challenge and performing exceedingly well, and DSA on average was among the Top 3 in almost all the Relay events of the Meet.

DSA Swimming Club retained their runner-up position at the Medal Tally, and ranked First in the Boys Overall Scores and Second in the Girls Overall. Elise Wong Ving Yan was the superstar in the Girls13-14 yrs Group, winning a mind-boggling 6 Golds and 4 of them with new Meet records. Yap Yong Jie, another DSA Champion, had 4 Golds, 2 Meet records and 1 Silver to his credit in the Boys 11-12 yrs Group.
