DSA swimmers deliver a golden display in Alor Setar

1 Meet Record and 59 Medals at the MAS/NSC/MILO Splash Swim Series

On 26th and 27th June 2026, a strong contingent of 22 DSA swimmers made the journey north to the Kedah Aquatic Centre in Alor Setar for the MAS/NSC/MILO Splash Swim Series Leg 1, 2026 (Northern). The team returned home with an outstanding 59 medals which icluded 22 Golds along with 1 Meet Record, in a display of quality and depth across every age group.

In Group 1, Garrel Lee Xuan was the standout performer in the pool, sweeping to a brilliant 4 Golds in the distance and multi-stroke events, while Ivan Choong Hao Wen was equally in his events winning 3 Golds. Hoo Jean Yee lit up the girls’ events with 2 Golds in the 200m Butterfly and the 50m Freestyle. Other podium finishes in this group came from Gabriel Lee Jin and Aryan Jayden Brattinga, both earning well-deserved medals for the club.

In Group 2, Muhammad Imran Bin Mohd Ikmal delivered a sharp double, winning 2 Golds for the team and further podium finishes came from Goh Hao Wei, Ahmad Niyaz Rafiqi Abdul Aziz, and Naomi Tan Huai Yue, all collecting Silver and Bronze medals to bolster the team’s tally.

In Group 3, Boaz Tan Dan claimed 2 Golds in the 100m Butterfly and 200m Freestyle, showcasing his versatility while Richie Tan Yew Quan stood tall with 1 Gold, winning the 200m Butterfly. Chin Xin Le was impressive in the girls’ events, earning 2 Golds in the 100m and 200m Freestyle. Other podium contributions came from Boaz, Richie, and Chin Xin Le’s additional finishes across their respective events.

In Group 4, Caden Lau Park Yoi was the headline act, storming to a Meet Record in the Boys 10-11 50m Backstroke on his way to 2 Golds, also winning the 100m Backstroke. Tan Cher Rell was equally brilliant across three events, claiming 3 Golds in the 50m Butterfly, 200m IM, and 100m Breaststroke. Hor Xing Ern added 1 Gold in the 100m Freestyle to complete a remarkable group performance.

It was a meet to remember for DSA up north. 59 medals, 1 Meet Record, and 22 swimmers who gave everything in the pool, the Splash Swim Series Leg 1 (Northern) has set the tone for what promises to be an exciting season ahead. Full results are available for download from the links below.
