20 medals at 5th Daiman Junior Age Group Swim Meet
DSA swimmers delivered an exceptional performance at the 5th Daiman Junior Age Group (Novice) 2026 held on 30th August 2026 at the Daiman Johor Jaya Sport Complex in Johor. Our team of 14 swimmers competed with distinction, securing a total of 20 medals — comprising 9 Golds, 6 Silvers, and 5 Bronzes. This remarkable haul demonstrates the dedication, training, and competitive spirit that defines DSA swimming. Every swimmer who stepped up to the blocks brought their best.
In the Girls Group 2, our swimmers showcased remarkable poise and technical excellence. Chloe Chiam Zhiyi was absolutely stellar, claiming a superb 2 Golds with commanding victories in the 50m Breaststroke and 100m Breaststroke while Chung Zi Qi and Fan Yun Jie both earned well-deserved Bronze medals, rounding out a strong showing for this age group.
The Boys Group 3 proved to be nothing short of extraordinary. Chua Jun Yu dominated his events with an impressive 2 Golds in both the 50m and 100m Breaststroke, displaying perfect technique and power. Tan Javier delivered a commanding 1 Gold in the 50m Backstroke while securing 3 Silvers across other events displaying versatility and consistency. Hanif Nawfal bin Haszahar claimed 1 Gold in the 100m Butterfly with a powerful display, and a Silver in the 50m Butterfly. This age group’s collective performance was simply outstanding.
The younger swimmers in Group 4 made a tremendous impact on the meet. Woo Soon Xiang Christon was the standout performer, securing a breathtaking 3 Golds across the 50m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly, and 100m Freestyle, along with a Silver in the 100m Backstroke. He also anchored the relay effort. Nur Nisa Ardani Binti Nor Rashman earned a Silver in the 100m Breaststroke and a Bronze in the 50m Freestyle, while Vilissa Nan secured a Bronze in the 100m Freestyle. Alvin Tan contributed a Silver medal in the 4X50m Mixed Relay, joining teammates in a well-coordinated team effort. This group showed tremendous promise for their future in competitive swimming.
With 20 medals earned across all categories and ages, DSA swimmers proved once again why we are a force to be reckoned with in Malaysian competitive swimming.
