DSA Swim Teams take Top Spots of Meet


DSA Swimming Clubs winners at Splash 2022, Leg 2

Holding on to their winning streak, the DSA Swim Team broke through the top at the MAS/Milo/NSC Junior Splash Swim 2022, Leg 2 held on 15-17 July at the National Aquatic Centre, Bukit Jalil. While the DSAS Swim Club took the Overall position, the Runner-up went to DSA Swimming Club.

DSA Swim Team had a large contingent of 101 swimmers from DSA Swimming Club and 86 swimmers from DSAS Swim Club participating in the Meet. Nevertheless, it was the smaller team from DSAS who won the top spot of Overall Champion with 833 points while DSA had 580 points in the runner-up position. The swimmers made their mark with 3 new Meet Records and also brought home a huge haul of medals which included 31 Golds.

Outstanding performances included Evan Chua Min Hao with 4 Golds with 2 Meet Records and Mellissa Nailly Darwin also with 4 Golds and 1 Meet Record. Grace Ju Won Kim was at her splendid best winning 5 Golds in her events while Angel Zhou was remarkable with 4 Golds. Other big winners included Ng Ze Heng, Yoong Chang Shen, Heidi Chong Zi Xin, Masato Mark Fujimoto and Ong Zhi Kheam with 2 Golds each in their respective events. Sebastien Rion Azlir, Ryan Ee Tian Ayems, Olivia Seow Cui Ying and Anna Zhou brought home 1 Gold each. A bunch of Silvers and Bronzes was also added to the team tally by Jayden Yap Ee Jen, Aaron Harris Hashim, Jaydrien Ng Shen Khang, Vitus So Teng Hoe, Xin Qi, Chan Cze Ern and Jiang Bo Xiu.

In the Relay events, DSAS Swimming Club championed with 10 Golds and 1 Meet Record while DSA Swimming Club won 10 Golds along with many more Silvers and Bronzes. All the swimmers in both the Clubs put on their best show to totally take the top honours at the Meet. It was indeed a splendid performance by both the Club swimmers and the team continues their splendid performance and winning streak this year chalking up their fourth Overall Champion position in the Meets held this year. This has been possible only with the dedicated team of coaches, parents and swimmers themselves all working together and giving it their best.
