DSA Swimming Club clinch the ‘Overall Champions’ tag yet again
The 6th MAS/MILO/NSC Mid & Long Distance Swimming Championship 2023 was held on September 23-24 at the National Aquatic Centre, Bukit Jalil. DSA Swimming Club has a strong contingent of 102 swimmers participating in the Meet. Over 32 swimming clubs from all over Malaysia were in the fray for the 2 days of stiff competitions.
Coming out on top, with a repeat win from last year’s performance, the DSA Swimming Club swimmers stood tall with a total of 664 points and 36 medals to clinch the coveted title of Overall Champions for the Meet.
The big winners for DSA included Georgene Wee Ee Jern who scooped up a stunning 5 Golds in her events, while Lewis Mu Zi Long won 4 Golds. Olivia Seow Cui Ying with 2 Golds and Yu Xiang Cham with 1 Gold were the other Gold winners. Podium finishes were also achieved by Vitus So Teng Hoe, Hayley Ng E Mun, Kaylee Wong, Ashley Soh Wern Yi, Charlotte Loke, Inn Xuan Yap, Finlay Palmer Kay, Evita Tan Ee Lin, Shahenry Wong Shadzlee and Angel Zhou. There were also many medals won at the Relays for the DSA swimmers with a total of 1 Gold, 4 Silvers and 2 Bronzes from the many Relay events. A hearty round of applause to these talented junior swimmers who have once again showcased their best performances. They are undoubtedly headed for remarkable achievements in the future. Congratulations are also in order for the dedicated parents of the club members and the team coaches who have been the pillars of strength and guiding lights for these young athletes in their pursuit of excellence.
