DSA Swimmers shine bright at Bukit Jalil


6 Meet Records and 142 Medals at All-Stars Swimming Meet

MAS/MILO All-Stars Swimming Circuit Leg 1

The MAS/MILO All-Stars Swimming Circuit Leg 1, 2026 (Central Region) was held from 15th to 17th May 2026 at the National Aquatic Centre, Bukit Jalil. With 236 swimmers converging on the pool for three days of intense competition, the action was nothing short of spectacular. DSA Swimming Club rose magnificently to the occasion, amassing an impressive total of 142 medals which included 53 Golds while creating 6 new Meet Records in the process, affirming once again that DSA remains a beacon in Malaysian competitive swimming.

In the Open Group, Wong Shi Qi was the standout performer with a superb 4 Golds, including a Meet Record in the Girls 19 & Over 50m Backstroke. Rachel Chu struck Meet Record Gold in the Girls 19 & Over 400m Freestyle, Jerriel Lau claimed 2 Golds in the IM events, and Georgene Wee Ee Jern also took 2 Golds in the Butterfly and Freestyle. Other Open Group swimmers who made it onto the podium included Kam Yao Qi Samuel and Jayden Yap Ee Jen from the Boys that kept the medals flowing for the team.

Yap Ke Hui from Group 1 won the Gold with a fine win in the Girls 16-18 50m Freestyle. A strong supporting number of wins with Silver and Bronze medallists ensured DSA’s presence on the podium throughout the group’s events, with Evan Chua Min Hao, Clifford Yeap Shun Long, Sebastien Rion Azlir, Ian Tan Zhi Kai, Chan Cze Ern and Tan Ju Ni all earning podium finishes for the Club.

The Group 2 contingent was arguably the most explosive of the Meet. Among the Group 2 Girls, Liew Yu Shan was the undisputed star, producing a breathtaking 7 Golds which included a Meet Record in the 200m Backstroke making her one of the finest performers of the entire Meet. Rebecca Lyu ChunYuan with 2 Golds and Analey Yap Cai Li also with 2 Golds were the other stars with major wins. Lewis Mu Zi Long who already was a multiple record breaker at previous Meets delivered once again, storming to a Meet Record in the Boys 1500 Meter Freestyle.

Other Group 2 swimmers who contributed handsomely to the podium tally included Ong Zhi Kheam, Mohamad Akash Rifqi, Tai Sze Wei, Isaac Lee Ming, Natalie Rae Chiew Zhen Ee, Lyona Kimura, Lee Xin Tung, Aylah Wang, Caelynn Chua Hui Ven, Chong Jia Ying, Kim Seohyeon Helena and Sasha Caunter Chin Liyen, all earning well-deserved podium finishes for the Club.

Group 3 was where the future of DSA swimming shone its brightest. Noma Horiuchi was simply extraordinary as she swept a stunning 8 Golds in the Girls 12-13 events, with a dazzling Meet Record in the 200m Backstroke. Alysha Aryana Binti Mohd Khairul Azli struck 3 Golds in the Girls Freestyle events, Winona Tay Yu Tang claimed 2 Golds in the shorter freestyle events, and Li Wanyu (Grace) set a Meet Record on her way to Gold in the Girls 12-13 200m Breaststroke.

Itto Horiuchi shone brightly in the Boys 12-13 category, winning 4 Golds in his events. Tee Him continued the incredible performance with 3 Golds, adding further to the mounting excitement around the Team total.

Further Silver and Bronze medals came from Keira Lee Shwen, Alynna Yong Zhang Ya, Raeka Ong, Ava Yang Muxi, Henri James Johan Keeton, Isaac Koh Yue Jian, Zuhayra Adn Binti Zulkifli and Theadora Raeesa Joseph, all ensuring DSA’s presence on the podium throughout the group.

DSA’s stunning performance with eye-catching displays from the Club’s youngest competitors included Keina Kimura who was sensational in the Group 4 Girls 11 & Under category, claiming an outstanding 7 Golds in her events. She is an upcoming champion with a display of remarkable composure and consistency for one so young. Yui Hirano was equally exciting with 2 Golds and Zhang He Ning added another Gold for the Group 4 Girls. Kayden Chan Kai De, Aiden Zarief and Tang Zi Qian (Violet) were among the other Group 4 swimmers who secured podium finishes to round out a superb team effort.

From the youngest Group 4 swimmers taking their first steps on the medals podium to the seasoned Open Group champions rewriting the record books, this was a Meet that showcased the full depth and breadth of talent within DSA Swimming Club.
