DSA Swimming Club wins Top Slot at Shah Alam
The Novice Meets are held with the objective to provide an opportunity for novice swimmers to gain competitive exposure and give them confidence to participate in competitive swimming. Novice swimmers are those who have never represented their state in any national level competitions, nor won any individual meals in any of the past State Age Group Swimming Meets. After a break of 2 years, the 6th Novice Swim Meet was held at the Pusat Akuatik Darul Ehsan, Shah Alam on the 15-16 October 2022.
DSA Swimming Club once again took Top Honours at the 2-day Meet, claiming the Overall Champion Club position with the maximum total points. Spectacular performers included Gabrielle M.P. Hills who took 4 Golds in the Girls 11-12 yrs category, Muhd Syahin Adham Bin Muhd Saiful Aminudin with 1 Gold, 5 Silvers and 1 Bronze, Itto Horiuchi with a Gold, 2 Silvers and 2 Bronzes. Gold medal winners also included Lai In Xuan, Nur Zhafirah Tasnim Muhamad Ridzhuan and Daniel James Yap. Other medal winners who did the team proud were Sara Inagaki, Yui Hirano, Simone Madeleine Azlir, Yap Ke Hui, Yap Inn Xuan, Max Tang Kar Lum, Lee E-An, Evelyn Oh Mi Ran, Lee Shayn-E, Kathleen Wong, Variz Foo Augustine, Harissa Nehru Naiker and Samuel Kam Yao Qi.
