The 16th Novice Swim Meet, the first Meet for the new 2026 season, was held on April 25-26 at the National Aquatic Centre in Bukit Jalil. These Novice Meets are designed to introduce beginner swimmers to the world of competitive swimming, helping them gain experience, build confidence, and prepare for more advanced competitions. Swimmers qualify as “novice” if they have never represented their state at the national level or secured individual medals in previous State Age Group Swimming Meets.
DSA Swimming Club proudly fielded a strong team of 187 young swimmers, many of whom were experiencing competitive swimming for the first time. For these budding athletes, the meet offered invaluable exposure to the structured schedules, discipline, and environment of inter-club competitions.
After two days of spirited competition, the team delivered an outstanding performance, securing a total of 67 medals, which included 25 Golds.
