18 swimmers win 78 medals at PASA Novice Meet
The PASA Novice Swimming Championships 2025 was held on 21-23 November at the Relau Sports Complex, Relau, Penang by the Penang Amateur Swimming Association (PASA). The Meet was open to any Clubs, Schools or Organisations registered in Malaysia. Being a Novice Meet, the Meet was open to swimmers who have never won any individual medals or placed in the top 3, irrespective of closed or open results (in both Novice and State categories) of any of the past State or National Swimming Championships.
18 swimmers from DSA Swimming Club participated in the Meet bringing back a total of 78 medals which included 24 Golds. The whopping total was reached by star swimmers which included young Jang YeRim in the Girls 12 years old category who won 6 Golds in her events. Hashini Nahganathan with 5 Golds was the Girls 7 years old champion, while Hor Xing Ern and Drexter Chan added 4 Golds each to the team total. Hor Hong Zen and Jang Yu Yeong added 2 Golds each while Chooi Zhi Ching, Lin Zi Yi and Ong Jie Yu also added a Gold each for the team in their events while Lim Zhao Teng, Sim Zhong Pei, Kayalvily Kale Dasan and Ludwig Ng Le Yu all had podium finishes providing valuable points to the team total.
The Relay teams won 4 Golds, 2 Silvers and a Bronze in the Mixed, Boys and Girls categories to finish off the team standings for the Meet. A detailed view of the medals tally and full results can be downloaded from the links below.
