DSA Swimmers win medals at ASEAN School Games 2019

DSA Swimming Club swimmers did the country and their Schools proud once again as  Alma Louise Bendix Dahl and Georgene Wee Ee Jern brought home the medals from the 11th ASEAN School Games held at Semarang, Indonesia between 17-25 July.  DSA Swimmers Alma Louise, Georgene Wee and Koh Teck Chen were the trio selected to represent Malaysia in this year’s Games. Alma Louise did exceedingly well in winning 2 Golds and 3 Bronzes in her events while Georgene  Wee won a Bronze in the Relay. The details of the medal winning performances were as follows-

Alma Louise Bendix Dahl:

  •     100m Butterfly – Gold
  •     50m Butterfly – Gold
  •     200m Individual Medley – Bronze
  •     4x200m Freestyle Relay – Bronze
  •     4x100m Medley Relay – Bronze

Georgene Wee Ee Jern:

  •     4x200m Freestyle Relay – Bronze

Heartiest Congratulations to the swimmers for their remarkable achievements of representing their school and country at international arena at such a young age, and we look forward to hearing more about them in the future. DSA has been the nurturing ground for many champions and as a Club, we are proud to have been a part of the swimmers lives and development as a competitive swimmer. We also congratulate the parents, coach and everyone else who had a big part to play in the long road to success where the swimmers are today.
